Helping animals get a new walk on life

Discovery channel is fast becoming one of my favorite channels. While watching a segment titled, "Must Love Cats", (since a beautiful Fire-point Siamese runs my household), they showed a segment where a cat with an amputated foot received a new walk on life, so to speak.

This cats foot was already missing when the family rescued it, and they noticed how it limited his ability to jump up, climb the stairs and walk on certain surfaces. Then they met OrthoPets who created a prosthetic, also know as a fake foot, for the feline.

After only a few weeks, the cat adjusted to the new foot and we witnessed him climb stairs and run in the yard with great ease.

Martin Kaufmann saw a need and a niche where he could take his experience in human Orthotics and Prosthetics and make a difference in the lives of animal companions and their people.

Pet orthotics may not be for everyone due to cost or limitations, however, it's now an available choice to help your injured or deformed animal companion potentially regain the ability to use their affected limb.
